How the treatment is planned.
Temporary barbed or suspension sutures are placed beneath the skin to support selected tissues. Results depend on anatomy, degree of laxity, thread type and technique. A thread lift cannot reproduce the extent or longevity of a surgical facelift, and some concerns are better treated another way.
Recovery & safety.
Swelling, bruising, dimpling, tenderness and temporary restriction of facial movement can occur. Infection, asymmetry, thread visibility, palpability or extrusion are possible. Follow instructions about facial movement, sleep position, exercise and oral care where relevant.
